Seasons Greetings, Class!
This is the time of year so many of us like to reflect on all that has happened in our lives over the last 12 months. There are so many things to be thankful for and so many more new experiences to look forward to in the times to come, and we are very pleased that so many new members have joined us here on this website since receiving our class reunion mailing.
With regard to our upcoming reunion, many of you have filled out and returned the contact information form we mailed out a while back, and that has really helped us to update how we get in touch with you and what sort of plans we need to make for our 55th Class reunion coming this August. I would like to encourage those who have not yet had the opportunity to complete and return the form to please do so - it will make so much difference to all of us who are trying to organize the event. It is always a good idea to check your own profile just to make sure everything is up to date. Changes happen in our lives so quickly!
On another note, photos of the 2011 Class Picnic have been posted in the Events section. Everyone had a great time! Have a look and see if you recognize anyone!
Here's wishing you all a wonderful Happy New Year!

Greetings, Class!
This is just a short note to let you all know that Marge and Irene have once again been kind enough to plan and plot out the class picnic for this year. It will be a bit later this year, in hope that we can avoid the dismal weather August has presented us with the last couple of years, and with the assumption that we will have one of our famous warm Septembers. Maybe Summer will even have arrived by then!
The Picnic has been planned for Wednesday, September 14th, at 1:00pm at Carrie Blake Park in Sequim. Marge and Irene have elected to go with our traditional menu that we have all enjoyed so much in the past.
For those of you who haven't been able to be there before, here is how it works: Marge & Bill Pieratt will pick up an assortment of chicken (fried, baked and grilled pieces), and the rest of us bring items that would go with that, such as salads, casseroles, other “picnicky” kinds of things and, of course – desserts in all shapes and sizes!
It has always been a great time with lots of food, talk, games, and photos taken!! I am sorry that Ken and I won't be able to be there this year, but we will be thinking about all of you and know you will have a great time!

Today we sent out a preliminary 55 year reunion mailing to invite classmates to this site and to request everyone to update your contact information.
We would like to welcome all new members to this site and encourage existing members to reach out and say hello to those new members.
You will notice on the sidebar to the left of this window there is a new category entitled "55 Year Reunion." Please plan on visiting this site often, and checking this new area as we will be posting the most up-to-date reunion information here first.

Greetings!!
It has been quite a while since I last sat down and wrote anything - in fact, way too long! So here is my attempt to bring you up to date on a few things.
I received a call from Joan Hansen Gill the other day with the sad news that Audrey Wareham Crowley passed away on April 25, 2011. She had been ill for quite some time, and was living in Renton, WA with her husband. Audrey is survived by her husband Jerry, son Clifford and daughter Andrea, all of the Seattle area. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family. Please know that our thoughts are with you at this time. The family will bring Audrey’s ashes to the Port Angeles area for her final resting place.
I'm so ashamed - I haven't even written anything since the last picnic in August of 2010! But, believe it or not, I may even be able to put a few photos in about that picnic before the next one comes around! Not sure if I am just getting older and slower, but for some reason we haven't gotten this posted. I will see what we can do about that in order to let you know that we did have a great time, regardless of the threatening rain showers and wind! We were all pleasantly surprised when Shirley Coker made a short visit, as we had just heard that she was in the hospital after having a heart attack. It was so nice to see her up and around and looking great - as usual!!
I am assuming that we will have another picnic in August of this year - but will verify that when Marge and Bill Pieratt get back from their cruise with Nancy and Bill Helwick! With any luck, they will have had a great time.
This summer I will be sending out letters about the class reunion that is to take place next year. It’s hard to believe that 55 years have gone by already, and we hope that many of you will attend this year! If you haven't attended before, please come this time as we would really love to see and do some catching up with you all. Surprisingly, many of you folks in the Port Angeles area don't come, but we always hope each time that you will, since this is the only time many of us are able to get together. Each time we meet, we know in our hearts that a few more of us won't be there next time. I have a difficult time understanding that, because my spirit still thinks I’m about 39 - but the body says I am way older than that! I suspect many of you feel the same way.
For those who haven’t yet heart, a group of us got together and voted for having the reunion at the 7 Cedars Casino just east of Sequim. They serve a wonderful buffet and have a nice dining room for us. This dining room even has a dance floor, so you can count on us having live music that evening for dancing! Since there are many things to do at that location we hope to have a good turn out as well as have a great time! There are two hotels close by, so there will be the option for those who would like to stay close by to do so. Shuttles back and forth will be furnished for us at no charge. By the end of summer I will have package prices, which will include the dinner and hotel, or will have individual pricing for just dinner, or dinner and the cocktail party.
By popular request, we will still have the cocktail party at the Golf Club House in Port Angeles on Friday night. I will also have information on that event - and whether there will be golfing, as we know you do like to get together and have a great time on that Saturday.
If any of you have ideas for things you would like to do, see, or present - please email me at
kenwanda@gmail.com - or send any messages you might have to the webmaster of this website.
Since this reunion will be at such a different venue this year, I think we can look forward to spending an evening of listening, dancing – even gambling or playing bingo! Or, best of all, just sitting and talking and catching up on what 55 years has done to us!! I hope all of you are looking forward to this as much as I am!!
We will be contacting each of you soon - by both snail mail and email. This website will also provide the latest information on the cost and details of this event. Please fill out forms when they are available and return them as soon as you can with your payment. We are hoping to keep the cost to a minimum as we DO seem to be in the "fixed income" category and hope that as many of you that can, will attend.
Please stay tuned – we have great plans in store!
